Codependent, Codependency, and Codependence Articles, Poems, and More! JUST FOR TODAY: 12/11: I am grateful for my abilities. I accept what I cannot change about myself. ^v^ ^v^ 12/10: When I ask God "Where are You?"..... I will know that He is still there- working through people that I encounter every day.... ^v^ ^v^ 12/7: I am grateful that Miracles do exist, and the feelings of hopefulness that they will occur. ^v^ ^v^ 12/6: I will not allow my feelings to be minimized, by myself or others. I accept that releasing them in an appropriate way is healthier for me and my relationships with others. ^v^ ^v^ 12/4: I am grateful for the lives that have touched mine.....which all serve a purpose in my growth. ^v^ ^v^ 12/2: I am grateful for my Awareness, born of Denial. Just For Today I will not be tempted by the 'triggers' of codependency. I will acknowledge them, but not allowed myself to be 'hooked'. ^v^ ^v^ 12/1: I feel blessed with my pain, as I compare myself with someone that is paralyzed and numb, unable to feel. ^v^ ^v^ 11/29: I accept that which I cannot control, and do not understand. Today, I will accept what God wants me to see, without questioning His motives. ^v^ ^v^ 11/28: I am grateful for my ability to feel pain. Without it, I would not know joy.
^v^ ^v^ 11/26: I am grateful for my ability to be alone and enjoy my own company. Through my appreciation comes the awareness that I cannot expect another to fulfill what I may lack. ^v^ ^v^ 11/24: I will not allow another's insensitive behavior to affect me. Today I choose self-empowerment and detachment instead. ^v^ ^v^ 11/23: I accept that which I cannot change. I am grateful for the wisdom and ability to change that which I am able to. ^v^ ^v^ 11/22: I am grateful for my gift of giving. ^v^ ^v^ 11/20: I will strive for bettering myself, rather than striving to become perfect. I accept that which I cannot be. ^v^ ^v^ 11/18: I let go of my worries, giving the outcome to God, instead. ^v^ ^v^ 11/17: I forgive myself for hurt I've caused to myself. I will not "beat myself up" for mistakes, but will instead be grateful for my lessons. For Today, I will dwell on self-love instead ^v^ ^v^ 11/15: I will not cry for the past, nor worry about the future. I will live for Today. ^v^ ^v^ 11/13: I will not dwell on the hurt from loving, but instead, I am grateful for my ability to Love. ^v^ ^v^ 11/10: I will not dwell on what and whom I cannot control...surrendering that power to God. I accept that I have power and control over myself and my own actions only. ^v^ ^v^ 11/9: I accept what I cannot change, and release my desires to control/change others to God's hands. ^v^ ^v^ 11/8: I will express anger in an assertive, direct and appropriate way. I accept that this is healthier for me, as "stuffing" my anger may lead to misdirected anger, or depression. ^v^ ^v^ 11/7: I will make amends with myself. I will forgive my faults, and try to better myself. Today, I will embrace my growth. ^v^ ^v^ 11/5: I accept that God's plan is not always known. I trust that what is unknown to me will be safely in God's Hands. ^v^ ^v^ 11/4: I will count my blessings, rather than what I am lacking. ^v^ ^v^ 11/2: I will be direct in communicating my needs. I will not allow myself to manipulate, nor be manipulated. ^v^ ^v^ 10/31: I will accept any trying challenges that may come my way, gracefully.....knowing that they are God's lessons. It is my Reaction to them that will make the difference. ^v^ ^v^ 10/29: I will be grateful for the lessons that I've learned, however painful. I will embrace my growth. ^v^ ^v^ 10/28: I will accept that another's ways are not my own, and respect our differences. I will not attempt to change another, nor change myself to suit another. ^v^ ^v^ 10/27: I accept responsibility for my own feelings and behavior. I will not feel responsible for another's. ^v^ ^v^ 10/26: I will Let Go of that which is not meant for me. I will have Faith in my inner voice, and God. ^v^ ^v^ 10/25: I will channel my energy away from another's negative reactions, towards embracing myself with self-love. ^v^ ^v^ 10/24: I will keep the focus on changing myself. I accept that I cannot control and change another. ^v^ ^v^ 10/23: I will detach in a loving manner. Detaching doesn't mean "coldness".
